Bob started his professional comic art career in Lincoln, Nebraska when he was getting his Bachelors Degree from the University Of Nebraska-Lincoln, doing posters for the student union and the theatre department. When Bob moved to New York City after graduation in the early 1970's, he continued his art-for-pay work, and in 1974-75, he was privileged to study comics illustration with another comic artwork legend, John Buscema, at Buscema's School of Comic Art. Bob would later continue to refine his artistic style, while studing drawing and painting under Don Stacy at The New School. These refinements led to Bob's first TRUE professional job, working for Charlton Comics in 1974, pencilling and inking several of their horror comics.
Since that time, Bob has consistently worked in many comics ventures, including both the major labels, Marvel and D.C., as well as smaller labels like Valiant/Acclaim, and even independent work.
