Paintings & Drawings
Bob has been painting and drawing as a hobby and a form of expression for several years. When he paints, he prefers to paint in what's commonly know as abstract style - although truthfully, Bob just paints the way he likes to.
That may seem like an unusual statement - of course, every painter does their work in their own way. But when Bob gets a chance to paint, chalk draw, or just sketch realism., he does it for a rare reason, for a modern professional artist - he does it primarily for relaxation and release, both from physical and mental forms of stress.
Bob explains how he got into painting this way; "An old friend of mine once said that if you're truly going to be an artist, you should make yourself familiar with as many forms of artistic expression as you can. Even if it doesn't make you a great at everything, it sure is a lot of fun, and you're bound to learn more than you knew before."
Bob took that idea to heart, and in the 1980's, he studied life drawing and painting at the Don Stacy studio in New York City. In association with the Don Stacy studio, Bob exhibited some of his works at New York City's Cedar Tavern, among other places, while he continued to keep involved in as many fields of artistic expression as possible. In a phrase, he went where his art took him.
This freeform attitude has done wonders for Bob, leading him to have his work displayed in several high quality galleries. It's also lead him into a situation almost every artist hopes to achieve - that elusive staus of being a PAID professional artist before their death! :)
In all seriousness, when it comes to Bob's formal paintings and drawings, money isn't even a question. It's all about, well... Bob.
