OTHER CURRENT ACTIVITY 2006-2007
•Artistic Director, Flatwater Shakespeare
      Since 2001, I have been the Artistic Director of The Flatwater Shakespeare Festival which I cofounded, and which performs primarily at the Swan Theater, in Lincoln, Nebraskašs historic Wyuka cemetery. Flatwater is a not for profit organization, performing three productions per season. Through my work with Flatwater, I've directed Twelfth Night, Much Ado About Nothing, As You Like It, The Tempest, Hamlet, Measure For Measure, Henry V, On the Verge, Macbeth, The Comedy of Errors, Romeo and Juliet, Lovešs Laboršs Lost and King Lear. The Festival has been the recipient of numerous foundation and arts council grants. I have also received a Mayoršs Arts Award for my work with Flatwater.

I last directed I am My Own Wife, in February, 2007, at the Haymarket Theatre, and have worked closely since 2002 with this new theatre in Lincoln Nebraska's restored warehouse area. [As of the end of June 2008, I was named Artistic Director of the Haymarket Theatre.] My work with the Haymarket Theatre includes directing The Passion of Dracula, The White Rose, and Pride and Prejudice (named best production of 2004 by the Lincoln Journal Star.) The Haymarket has also been a frequent collaborator with the Flatwater Shakespeare Festival.

Artistic Director, Nebraska Repertory, Lincoln ,NE.
      I was hired to facilitate the conversion of this twenty-year-old University associated repertory theatre to an Equity contract. I produced six summer seasons, selecting all plays, hiring the artistic staff, creating production budgets, participating in fund raising and developing long-range plans. I directed Noises Off, On the Verge, The Real Thing, Pirates of Penzance, On The Twentieth Century, Big River, and The Tempest. 1988-1993
• Guest Artistic Director, Lincoln Community Playhouse, Lincoln NE.
      Directed Harvey, Passion of Dracula, and Evita.
 Developed Lincoln's first multi-cultural audition workshop; served on Multi-Cultural Arts Committee of the Lincoln Arts Council. 1991-92
• Co-Artistic Director and Founding Member, New Rude Mechanicals, New York City.
      I cofounded this off-off Broadway resident theatre company, producing four seasons of classical plays.We were awarded grants from New York Community Trust and New York State Council on the Arts. Directed The Misanthrope, The Winter's Tale, Henry V, Bloody Poetry, and Measure for Measure. 1988-1992.

      I selected the season, hired artistic personnel, co-created a touring children's theatre funded by CETA grant and directed Man and Superman. 1977-78

      I developed a touring educational program demonstrating Shakespearean play production; taught acting workshops; wrote a successful Nebraska Arts Council start up proposal for salaries and equipment and designed and directed six productions. 1969-1971
